This is my first post for this new blog, an online story for National Novel Writing Month, a 30-day kamikaze effort to write 50,000 words. I have the month of November to accomplish this task, and I intend to finish this.

This novel will be a humorous look into the adventures and life experiences of a law school student, namely Jake Lau. He is a 2L at Davis Law, a fictional law school based upon the real law school I attend at this moment. Hopefully, after I finish this novel, I will still be an actual student at an actual law school.

Technically, I can write notes and plot out what my novel will contain during the month of October, but I cannot write the "novel proper" until November 1st, 2005. This is based purely upon the honor system, which I intend to follow. Based upon this restriction, I will not start writing anything from this novel until November 1st. This might be hard to resist, but I will follow the rules.

Hopefully, this will be an interesting project that I will finish. For those that read this story, I hope you find it interesting, as well as funny.
